Current Reflections:
Coaching of leaders often falls short of professional practice.Much executive and organisational coaching is concerned with goals - personal and organisational. It also purports to be about leadership development. However amazingly little coaching about leadership actually makes use of the excellent evidence-based research about optimal leadership which is effective in achieving many desired outcomes across all sectors! This limited vision of much of the coaching industry needs to be broadened with the application of sound science - as one might expect in any profession. |
